Some say that in May 2009 was the year of Twitter (I thought 2008 was, but hey, that's just me), but for those of online marketing, was the year that I learned was how to video blog. In this short guide will explain why an apology for marketing with video, as well as how quickly vlogging, Geekery and techno-babble excluded.
Why do you need to start video blogging now (even if you do not tolerate Yourself on Camera Mare), one of the people I used to cringe atthe sight and sound of the camera in front of me. My voice always sounds different than I thought it did, and my Scotland-Wales-Mennonite complexion always looks like a sticky pancakes fear. Not begun to run and apologize for video blogging, however, that's when my new Macbook came with a built-in webcam (iSight).
Almost the moment I have my first video blog (or "vlog") I wondered why I waited so long to do so. Video blogging (or "vlogging") enables online businessesAnd marketing to reach people, so many things that a () of the traditional written blog post can now simply do not. Consider the following:
Video blogging is fast. The timeline for inspiration, the publication has been drastically reduced. You get an idea for a blog post. Write your main points. Turn the web cam and start barking (okay, combing the hair before). It 'really that simple.
Video Blogging creates intimacy with your readers. May not be able to give a warm handshake, but the soundYour voice and your smile on your face a whole new dimension to the relationship. Body language is 60% of communication. Cameras which means that words can not.
Video blogging lends credibility to the message. Whatever you say in the video, be it a field of product or a commentary or a how-to-by in front of the camera, you have an obligation to the public at a deeper, more authentic way. And if you're a crook, well, tends to emerge e.
VideoBlogging strengthens your brand. There is only you. Until the cloning of human beings is a common reality, it is safe to say that the video can be more direct, powerful personal branding tool that you have at your disposal, as an entrepreneur and marketing they have.
Video blogging is accessible. Cheap as borscht, but potentially so rich in effect.
Duh, everyone does. Or will. Fact is that competition is always on board the moving train as the train vlogging blogging is a few years ago. This does not mean that you are in front of the camera every time you leave a tip or the list should be blast. Not at all. But this means that more people are looking for video clips of "real people" behind the web. You have been warned.
How Video Blog Quick Start video blogging is not really that difficult to do. Once you have the basics, it's just a matter of digging and do it. The videos do, you get more comfortable with the process, andThe more consistent you publish videos. Like traditional blogging, everything revolves around the practical form, consistency and good habits.
Let's get started:
(1) Purchase a webcam or camcorder. I like the webcam, because I can literally see what I'm doing what I'm recording. That is, I stop in front of the lens centered and focused my eyes to the right place. But I'm pretty sure there are ways to connect a camcorder to your computer so that you can see what you are doingon a nice big screen. Webbie Flip Mino HD and Sony will be to clean and costs about $ 200.
(2), video editing software will add polish, the thought is not critical. Sometimes you want text in form or a URL on the screen and cut the first or the last seconds of the video.
(3) Get a YouTube account and your statements YouTube "channel". YouTube only makes publishing and sharing videos just super, super easy for you, but moreimportantly, super easy for people to publish what your masterpiece. That's because YouTube offers an "embed" code that people copy, and you can paste it into your blog, the distribution of your lovely mug even more on the web. This is a good thing, because that's what video blogging is, like all the older cousin on the release. And you should have its own channel on YouTube entitled, once the account is set. Mine, for example, youtube.com / karriflatla. Easy.
(4) Uh, you have the right blog?Okay, just checking.
(5) Get ready to shoot your video (preparation makes the difference):
Short is better. 2-5 minutes is optimal. Anything shorter and you probably do not have enough information to be of use to communicate. Anything more and you can start to lose people.
Treat blogging vlogging. Do you have a title in the eyes and some important points. If you have more to say to break the topic of control down to a series of short videos. Keep 'em guessing what comes next?
BeImpromptu. That is, of course, speaks as if only one-to-one chat with a friend. Basically, if necessary, but try not to notice the literal content. This is not a speech, is actually only a brief conversation intimate. Okay to look down at notes soon. I do that sometimes, if there is a certain point or a quote I want to be sure to articulate properly. However, you should have your eyes on the camera, our viewers (focusing mainly) most of the time.
Make large skylight, when at home. My videos have appeared so far, a little 'dark and gritty, I'm pretty sure this is why half of the halogens are burned into my office. I (ladders.) Hate in direct sunlight, does not always work in an office that has, unfortunately, because your face will hit the sides and cause strange, unflattering shadows. So you may need to close the curtains.
You're the star, not the background. The office does not look like a war zone and see: theSeraglio was within earshot (children, pets, spouses …). This means that you do not need anything special, either, so really only plan to clean up about 4 square feet for your office!
The women wear makeup. Feminist, as I can, I'm realistic, given that most of the women in front of the camera without make-up (or) the lighting very strategic. Put on some mascara, cover the eyes, and add a little 'color to the cheeks. It makes a big difference.
Boys comb their hair cut and eyebrows and noseHair. 'Nuff said.
(6) Take a deep breath and turn the video. Fire again, if you really suck. They stop at good enough. The goal is not perfection, but entertainment. Got it?
(7a) If you have an editing software:
Include your name and the URL or other important information to identify the bottom of the frame. Normally I have this ad for the last 15 seconds or so, but it is up to you. Make sure that the character is easy to read (Arial great works). I'm sure someone out there alsogetting the optimal amount of time to make your ad text and all that jazz, but hey, it's a quick guide.
Cut any embarrassment at the beginning or end of the video. Maybe you were telling your cat to close-up, or they have been wiping his nose. We do not need to see things.
(7b) If you have an editing software: you are lucky. YouTube allows you to add captions and annotations to your vids. I have not tried it myself, but seem rather simple, use.
(8) Upload your video to YouTube. Log in to your account and click on the big yellow Upload button in the upper right. Once the video is loaded, and add a meaningful title, but in short, a brief description of the video, and your tag (), basically only the keywords or other descriptors. Do not leave these steps. They help people find your video more easily, but is also a courtesy, because it allows the viewer to guess quickly what your video is about before you press the "Play"Button. Also, make sure to moderate comments, which you can set the chance to be the first. (Just like a real blog!)
(9) Post a video to your blog. As with every blog entry, you should be all the usual elements, which include improved usability and visibility of research. This means:
Write a keyword rich, descriptive post titles.
Write a brief introductory paragraph stating what the Post Office (video) on. The keywords you can once again, if you can.
Add a meta description to make it appear on your blog videotempted results pages of search engines.
If you're not blogging software and add a title tag is usually automatically from your post titles be sure to add one.
Connect the embed code from your video on YouTube, the video to your post. This will allow simple diffusion (yay!).
(10) For God's sake, market-Video. Blast your list. Tweet about it. Share on Facebook. Bookmark on your fave social bookmarking sites. All have the same things you would not do with a post to videohelp spread via the World Wide Web
Remember, these are just the basics. The world of video blogging is evolving right along with the media present more video that is published revolution. The, the better you get it on too. And if you put the technology, which is bound to happen at some point, there's always Google and yep, even tons of techno watch on YouTube. The point is to start somewhere and move forward to build the rhythm.
I can not think of a more effectivesignificantly and rapidly both existing and aspiring public supporters who came in contact. Not to mention, it's just pure fun. (Trust me, we'll send your first video to everyone you know.)
